Grace's Lace

used to delineate areas of the fabric for further decoration with whitework and cutwork

Also used to delineate areas for further design work in cutwork and whitework

Used to finish openings in the ground fabric.

one of the most basic needle lace stitches

used often on the main threads that are left after pulling out the ground threads to make the windows.

use when you want as small and tight of a profile as possible

Decorative bar type

useful when you want to add more buttonholed rows on both sides of a bar...like for a leaf shape

My favorite picot...hard to screw up and very substantial

This picot is also pretty easy and they did use it...I just don't seem to get as nice looking of a picot from it

while the guide threads are not strictly necessary, they do add stability and strength to the final piece
